# Installation

In this step, we’ll show you how to integrate your ENLYZE Edge device **Edge Device** into a network with internet access and successfully connect it to the **ENLYZE Manufacturing Data Platform**. For the setup, you will use the **ENLYZE EDGE interface**, which you can access locally via your browser.

## Before You Begin

{% hint style="info" %}
This guide describes the installation via a **wired Ethernet connection** using a standard network cable.

🔧 **Wi-Fi setup is currently not supported** via the ENLYZE EDGE interface.

If you require a Wi-Fi-based setup, please contact our support team:\

Please go through the following checklist to ensure all requirements for a successful integration are met:

### Checklist

* [ ] **Installation location is defined**
* [ ] The following conditions are met at the installation site:
  * [ ] **Power outlet** for power supply is available
  * [ ] **Access to the internet** network (e.g., company network)
  * [ ] **Access to the machine network** or direct connection to the data source (PLC, sensor, etc.)
* [ ] The networks the Edge Device will be integrated into **are be outside of `10.21.0.0/16`**
* [ ] Necessary **firewall rules are configured** based on the MAC addresses provided via email
* [ ] Edge Devices are **whitelisted** in the network infrastructure and excluded from **"UDP Flood Attack Protection"**
* [ ] **IP address allocation is clarified** – if static IPs are used, your IT has provided the CIDR and gateway IP for each device
* [ ] A laptop with an Ethernet port and permissions to configure the network adapters on your laptop
* [ ] Two Ethernet cables to connect the Edge Device to your laptop and to the internet
