Your Step-by-Step Guide to Integrating a SPARK into Your Network with Internet Access

In this step, we’ll show you how to integrate your ENLYZE Edge device SPARK into a network with internet access and successfully connect it to the ENLYZE Manufacturing Data Platform. For the setup, you will use the ENLYZE EDGE interface, which you can access locally via your browser.
Please go through the following checklist to ensure all requirements for a successful integration are met:
The networks the SPARK will be integrated into are be outside of 10.21.0.0/16
Necessary firewall rules are configured based on the MAC addresses provided via email
SPARK Edge devices are whitelisted in the network infrastructure and excluded from "UDP Flood Attack Protection"
IP address allocation is clarified – if static IPs are used, your IT has provided the CIDR and gateway IP for each device
A laptop with an Ethernet port and permissions to configure the network adapters on your laptop
Two Ethernet cables to connect the SPARK to your laptop and to the internet
In the following steps, you’ll connect the SPARK to the internet and your laptop, and supply it with power. These steps should ideally be performed directly at the installation site.
Below is a schematic showing the SPARK and its available ports:
Connect the SPARK to an internet network: → Plug one Ethernet cable into the port labelled “Internet” on the SPARK and connect the other end to a network with internet access.
Connect the SPARK to a power source.
The SPARK will now boot automatically. Green LEDs on the front left indicate the startup process. The boot process may take up to 5 minutes.
In the next step, we will connect the SPARK to the Manufacturing Data Platform. Click Next to continue.
